Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support our Accounting Department with daily administrative and financial tasks. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, intermediate Excel abilities, and comfort working in Microsoft 365 and internal accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic accounting and clerical duties, including data entry, filing, and document organization.
  • Enter and maintain financial transactions in the internal accounting software.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Reconcile daily, weekly, or monthly reports as assigned.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and summaries using Microsoft Excel (intermediate level) .
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities as needed.
  • Communicate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies or gather needed information.
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of financial records.
Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience or coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, sorting/filtering, basic pivot tables).
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to learn and work within internal accounting software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
Work Environment

  • Office-based position part-time hours.
  • Collaborative environment with training provided on internal software and processes.
