Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining organized financial records. This role supports the accounting team by ensuring compliance with company policies and established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and files
• Assist with month-end closing and audits as needed
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Accounting preferred)
• 1-3 years of accounts payable or accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information
