Position Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in ensuring a smooth patient experience from scheduling to treatment coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and experienced with dental front office operations, including Dentrix software and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the daily doctor schedule
• Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments
• Submit insurance claims
• Explain treatment plans, insurance coverage, and patient financial responsibilities
• Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix
• Coordinate patient communications including appointment reminders and follow-ups
• Collect payments and manage patient accounts
• Support overall office efficiency and patient satisfaction

Qualifications

• Minimum [1–2] years of dental front office or patient coordinator experience preferred
• Proficiency with Dentrix dental software preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance verification, billing, and claims processing
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
• Bilingual [optional]
