The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking EDM Operators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment according to work orders and specifications. Load and adjust NC programs, optimizing parameters such as spark gap, pulse duration, and amperage. Monitor machine operation, ensuring consistent performance and identifying potential issues or deviations. Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Conduct routine preventive maintenance on EDM machines, including cleaning, electrode changes, and fluid checks. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms, process errors, or quality discrepancies. Maintain accurate production records, quality logs, and maintenance reports. Recommended Qualifications 2+ years of experience operating and setting up Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, tooling, and basic troubleshooting. Demonstrated commitment to quality control, precision, and adherence to safety protocols. Basic understanding of G-code or specific EDM machine programming/controls.
