Applications are being accepted for a full-time High School Art Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role follows a standard 178-day teacher contract plus a $5000 Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) stipend and offers a competitive salary based on the district pay scale and years of experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, TRS retirement, and paid leave. Responsibilities Develop and deliver creative lesson plans aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Teach a variety of artistic media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art. Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, self-expression, and respect. Assess and evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records. Manage classroom behavior according to district and campus policies. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and support extracurricular art activities or exhibits. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Art (EC–12 or appropriate level). Knowledge of TEKS, curriculum planning, and classroom management. Preferred: experience teaching high school art, differentiated instruction, project-based learning, integrating technology, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
