Job Description

HR Assistant

LHH Recruitment is partnering with a Beaverton-based organization to hire an HR Assistant to support day-to-day human resources operations, with a strong focus on onboarding new hires and providing general HR administrative support. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in Human Resources and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer and onboarding paperwork, coordinating start dates, and ensuring a smooth first-day experience
  • Assist with employee file management, documentation, and data entry in HR systems
  • Serve as a point of contact for basic HR questions, escalating more complex issues as needed
  • Help coordinate background checks, I-9 documentation, and other pre-employment requirements
  • Support HR team with administrative tasks such as scheduling, tracking, and reporting
  • Assist with internal communications, policy acknowledgements, and HR-related updates
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all HR documentation and processes

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, OR some prior exposure to HR through internships, coursework, or administrative experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn HR systems quickly
  • Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn and grow within HR
