Mechanical Assembler

Location: Mukilteo, WA

Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM, M_F

Pay: $22-28/hr, depending on experience

Job Description

Assemble parts and components to build finished products following standardized work instructions and diagrams. Perform visual and functional inspections on assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and report any defects or issues in the assembly process, and work with the team to resolve them.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and tools used in the assembly process, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain accurate records of production and quality control data, including completed checklists and reports.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Strive for efficient production by meeting or exceeding production targets and minimizing downtime.
• Work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth and productive workflow.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience as an Assembly Operator or in a related role in a manufacturing environment (2+ years) specifically in aerospace.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Helicoil & pin press.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Pro Shop, a completely paperless system.
• Experience with production, punch press, hand and power tools.

Work Environment

You will be part of a small team of 4-6 assemblers with a clear bonus plan for full-time employees. The work environment includes regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to high places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequent exposure to vibration is expected, and the noise level is usually moderate, which may require hearing protection in specific locations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.
