Job Description

We are seeking a full time optician for our growing practice on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids. 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• selling prescription glasses and contact lenses
• verifying insurance eligibility/availability
• submitting vision insurance claims
• dispensing eyewear to patients
• checking in jobs from the labs
• repairing eyewear
• using an edger to fabricate lenses

Requirements:

• Experience in or exposure to the optical field is preferred but not required. 
• An enthusiast, hard-working candidiate with excellent "people skills" is crucial to the success of this position.
• Candidates should show a strong emphasis and comfort level with sales with a focus on providing quality, respectful service to all patients. 
• The candidate must have reliable transportation to/from the office.
