Job Summary

We're looking for a high-ownership property manager for a group of apartment communities in Pittsburgh concentrated near the North Side.

You'll be the strategic lead for a dedicated leasing agent and maintenance team, ensuring that every resident receives a consistent, quality experience.

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000, with the opportunity to grow with Birgo as we improve lives through real estate.

Core Responsibilities
  • Maximize operational performance of properties by achieving occupancy and NOI goals
  • Provide excellent customer service through prompt, professional, and authentically caring responses
  • Lead, manage, and train the team to accomplish the goals of the property group
  • Spearhead leasing efforts in partnership with the leasing agent
  • Collaborate with the in-house asset management and accounting teams for budgets, variance reports, and payables
  • Manage collections and delinquencies, including eviction court
  • Oversee the completion of maintenance tasks and enhance the property's curb appeal
  • Maintain clean and safe properties by resolving tenant complaints, conducting weekly onsite inspections, and enforcing rules of occupancy
  • Coordinate services with external vendors
  • Manage turnovers and capital projects
  • Coordinate the onboarding or offboarding of properties in your property group
  • Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate
Successful Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 7+ years experience as a property manager
  • In-depth understanding of Pittsburgh's multi-family industry
  • Experience with AppFolio or other property management software
  • Multi-site experience

Skills

  • Technology savvy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong skills in written, verbal, and persuasive communicatio n
  • Organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail

Other Requirements

  • Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license for property visits during business hours and as needed after-hours
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs and traverse uneven terrain
  • Able to transport up to 25 lbs
  • Able to use a computer for a full workday
