Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You\'ll Do Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across the campus environment. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and campus grounds, assist with directions and general information, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations observed during patrols. Support school-related events, after-hours activities, and daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with staff and/or local responders, and following post orders for the location. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
