Carnegie Mellon University's Police Department (UPD) is searching for Security Officers who are highly motivated and eager to serve the CMU community! Core responsibilities will include:
Conducting watchperson rounds of university buildings and areas to ensure the safety and security of the campus, the assigned sector, and its occupants/users
Reporting suspicious activity, persons, and conditions immediately
Providing escorts to students, staff, and faculty members
Providing general assistance to campus police officers
Providing general information to university personnel and visitors
Performing foot patrol on campus grounds in all weather conditions and temperatures

You should demonstrate:

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior work experience in a security-related role preferred

Successful Background Check
Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)
Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Credit check
Security Clearance: You will be subject to a background investigation and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position based in Pittsburgh, PA.
