Job Title: Senior Production Manager / Technical Production Lead

Location: Portland, Oregon

The Opportunity

IN2 Resourcing is working on behalf of a well-established event production company in Portland to recruit a Senior Production Manager / Technical Production Lead.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical production background who enjoys solving problems during the planning phase rather than firefighting onsite.

You will lead the technical planning and delivery of live and corporate events. The position focuses heavily on production planning, system design, and documentation, ensuring shows are well prepared long before they reach site.

This role suits someone who takes pride in building accurate technical plans, creating clear documentation, and ensuring every detail is considered before an event begins.

The successful candidate will play a key role in technical planning, project preparation, and show delivery while working closely with production teams, technicians, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Production Planning

•Lead technical planning for live and corporate events

•Create detailed technical production plans and documentation

•Design signal flow, system layouts, and technical infrastructure

•Produce Vectorworks drawings and technical layouts

•Build accurate equipment lists and resource plans

•Identify and resolve technical risks during the planning phase

Event Delivery

•Oversee technical execution of events

•Coordinate with project managers, technicians, and suppliers

•Ensure equipment, crew, and logistics are properly prepared

•Lead technical teams during load in, rehearsals, and show delivery

•Maintain high standards of technical quality and safety

Equipment & Logistics

•Plan and manage technical equipment requirements

•Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams

•Support equipment preparation and warehouse pulls when required

•Ensure equipment lists are accurate, efficient, and practical for delivery

Team Collaboration

•Work closely with internal production teams

•Support technicians and junior team members when required

•Contribute ideas that improve planning processes and technical workflows

•Assist across the business when required, including smaller local productions

Experience Required

•Strong background in technical event production

•Experience planning and delivering live, corporate, or experiential events

•Proven experience creating technical plans, equipment lists, and production documentation

•Experience working within small to mid size production companies or entrepreneurial environments

•Strong experience using Vectorworks for production planning and layouts

Technical Skills

•Strong understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and event production infrastructure

•Knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and staging systems

•Ability to design and plan technical systems for events

•Strong event logistics and production planning skills

Personal Attributes

•Highly detail oriented with strong planning skills

•Enjoys preparation and structured technical planning

•Comfortable working both in the office and onsite

•Collaborative and adaptable team player

•Willing to support wider business needs when required
