Job Title: Solar General Laborer – Ground Mount Installation
Job Description
This role supports the construction of commercial-scale ground mount solar systems by performing general labor tasks, assembling racking structures, setting panels, and assisting with wire management. You will work with hand and power tools to help build reliable photovoltaic installations in an outdoor construction environment.
Responsibilities
Use hand tools such as sockets, shovels, and wrenches to assemble and build ground mount solar systems.
Assist with wire management, including organizing and securing wiring for solar panel strings.
Work as part of the mechanical crew to assemble racking systems according to project specifications.
Set and install solar panels on ground mount racking structures.
Support general construction activities related to solar installation, including basic site preparation and clean-up.
Operate or assist with operation of equipment such as forklifts when required and when properly trained and authorized.
Follow installation plans, instructions, and safety procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
Use power tools safely to complete assembly and installation tasks.
Collaborate with team members, electricians, and other trades to complete project milestones on schedule.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in construction or solar installation.
Basic electrical or mechanical knowledge, including familiarity with string wiring of panels and racking assembly.
Ability to use hand tools such as sockets, shovels, and wrenches safely and effectively.
Ability to use power tools for assembly and installation tasks.
Comfort working in an outdoor construction environment on commercial-scale projects.
Physical ability to perform general labor duties, including lifting, carrying, and working on uneven ground.
Ability to follow instructions, installation plans, and safety procedures.

This is a Contract position based out of Los Molinos, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
