Tax Accountant

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG), a Quanta Services, Inc. company (NYSE: PWR) is looking for a Tax Accountant with multistate indirect tax experience. The right candidate will work as a member of our rapidly growing accounting group and will work out of the Overland Park, Kansas office.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and file sales & use tax returns across multiple states and multiple entities
• Ensure timely tax filings by managing a tax compliance calendar
• Support the tax reconciliation process
• Prepare tax accruals as needed
• Reconcile accounting software with tax software
• Review and maintain exemption certificates for exempt customer sales and file support
• Assist in month-end close as requested
• Communicate with taxing jurisdictions and resolve inquiry requests and provide audit support
• Embrace change and help establish process improvements
• Work with operations to include indirect tax estimates in job pursuits and research tax requirements as needed
• Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested
• Assist with property tax compliance
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures

What You'll Bring

Required Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or closely related field, or combination of education and relevant experience
• 3+ years of multistate sales tax compliance experience

Preferred Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Strong understanding of sales & use tax laws, especially as they apply to construction and real property
• Experience with Vertex O Series

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
