Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to work in a dynamic and precision-focused environment. The role involves operating and setting up electro-discharge machines to produce high-quality aerospace parts. The schedule includes day and night shifts with specific hours during weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Load and set up parts in the EDM machines.
• Inspect parts for quality during the order process.
• Set up and operate EDM machines, including conventional and 5-axis machines.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings accurately.
• Troubleshoot and fix defects in machinery.
• Prepare logs and records to document machine operations and daily production.
• Set up and switch jobs as required, with training provided.
• Maintain a production efficiency rate of over 98% while ensuring high-quality output.

Essential Skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with CNC or other metal machine operations.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Aerospace experience is a plus.
• Previous EDM experience is advantageous.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Eligibility to work in the US and completion of an ITAR form.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.

Work Environment

Work in a production facility equipped with over 150 EDM machines, where most areas are temperature controlled. The work involves being in confined spaces and requires the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently. The noise level may be loud, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
