Company Profile: 1st FP Lubbock, LLC is a privately-owned fire protection company that designs, fabricates, installs, maintains, and inspects fire protection systems in commercial & industrial buildings. We have offices located in San Antonio, Austin, McAllen, Waco, Houston, Laredo, Lubbock, and College Station.

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Candidates must hold a Fire Alarm License (FAL).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, service, and maintain fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and suppression systems.
  • Perform routine testing and troubleshooting of fire protection systems in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Conduct backflow testing and repairs as required.
  • Complete accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and industry regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with team members and project managers on job site planning and execution.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, codes, and licensing requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Required Licenses:
    • Fire Alarm (FA) License
  • Preferred License:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection system installation, inspection, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
