Job Summary:

We arent just looking for an anyone; were looking for a gearhead who understands that an Indian Motorcycle is more than a machineits a legacy of American craftsmanship. As our Indian Motorcycle Service Writer, you are the bridge between the wrench and the rider. You will command our parts counter and service flow, ensuring that every Scout, Chief, and Pursuit that leaves our bay is built for the long haul and finished to a premium standard.

Key Responsibilities:

The Parts Command

  • The Go-To Source: Masterfully navigate OEM and aftermarket catalogs to source everything from Thunderstroke performance kits to custom chrome trim.
  • Inventory Edge: Keep the shelves stocked with the essentials that keep our riders on the road, anticipating the "Spring Rush" before it even hits.
  • Tech Support: Act as the "right hand" to our Master Technicians, identifying the exact specs needed to minimize downtime and maximize torque.
  • Curb Appeal: Ensure our parts boutique looks as legendary as the bikes on the floororganized, premium, and inspiring.

Labor & Performance Coordination

  • Blueprint the Build: Prepare surgical repair orders and labor estimates that respect both the technicians time and the customers investment.
  • Workflow Velocity: Track the pulse of the service bay, ensuring jobs move from the lift to the lot without missing a beat.
  • Documentation: Handle warranty claims and manufacturer compliance with the precision of a fine-tuned engine.

The Rider Experience

  • Concierge Connection: Deliver a high-octane customer experience via Kenect, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
  • The Consultant: You don't just "sell parts"you help riders realize the potential of their machine. Youre the expert on Stage 1 intakes, slip-ons, and ergonomic upgrades.
  • Clear Communication: Translate technical "shop talk" into clear, professional value for our clients.

Qualifications & DNA:

  • V-Twin Fluency: Deep-rooted knowledge of motorcycle mechanics, specifically heavy-weight cruisers and baggers.
  • Dealership Grit: Previous experience in a powersports or high-end automotive environment is required.
  • DMS Mastery: Proficiency with dealership management systems (Lightspeed or similar) and a knack for digital organization.
  • The Draper Standard: Professionalism that matches our luxury brand, with the communication skills to handle high-net-worth clientele.
